SUMMARY:Jim Crawford - Guitar Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Jim Crawford is a legendary blues and folk guitarist who has played and recorded extensively with world-famous musicians during his long career. \nJim has given numerous guitar masterclasses. For the Appledore Music Festival\, Jim will be giving an introductory masterclass on Sunday 26 May at the Champ pub. Jim is running another masterclass on Saturday 18 May. \nDuring the masterclass\, Jim will be showcasing some of the techniques that have made him a world-class blues guitarist. These include open tuning\, finger styles and slide.  There is no need to bring your own guitar though you are welcome to do so. \nThis event is ticketed and tickets must be purchased in advance. There is a limit of 10 people per class. \nThe ticket price is £10 per person including all fees. To reserve your place\, buy your tickets now.

DESCRIPTION:The Champ hosts a “Sunday Nice” session on the afternoon of the fourth Sunday every month. For the Appledore Music Festival\, there will be a special performance by Domingo Caramelo. This jazzy trio (sometimes quartet) play jazz standards that go with Sunday afternoons like strong winds go with North Devon. Domingo Caramelo consists of Dayle on bass\, Rob Norris on keys and Jim Blofeld on drums. Their repertoire includes jazz standards such as Misty\, Autumn Leaves and Over the Rainbow \nThese guys are superb musicians. Enjoy! \n \nThis event has been booked by The Champ pub who have kindly agreed to include it in the Appledore Music Festival programme.

DESCRIPTION:Jim Crawford is one of the best-known musicians in the Appledore area. Originally from Lancashire\, he now resides in the heart of Appledore. Despite his great skill on the guitar\, he is a humble man who loves fishing with his dog for company. He has toured much of Europe and the States captivating audiences with his intimate folk/blues style. \nSoftly spoken\, Jim has for years has been revered among professional musicians as a consummate finger picker and slide guitarist. He also has a great voice that belies his appearance. \nSee him on his home turf at the Champ on Sunday 26 May in a special Appledore Music Festival appearance.
