The Appledore Music Festival includes workshops presented by local musicians who are experts in their field.

Folk Music Concert with Sophie Randles-Dunkley @ St Mary’s Hall 30 May 3:30pm
In this relaxed workshop, Sophie and fellow members of the Appledore Ceilidh Band will help you discover the simple pleasure of joining in. They’ll teach a tune (maybe two if time allows) by ear, then play together as a group so you can experience the magic of a session in action. Tickets are £5 – book your tickets here
Lara Conley – Songs in the Round Workshop @ St Mary’s Hall 30 May 2pm
Lara Conley is a well-known local singer songwriter and guitarist who has recorded and played extensively both solo and with fellow musicians.
The focus of the workshop this year will be singing songs in rounds. All welcome, No experience necessary, no music reading skills required, yourselves and your beautiful voices are very welcome.Tickets are £5 – book your tickets here.
Rootnotes Family Music Workshop @ Appledore Baptist Church 20 May 1:30pm
Becki Driscoll of Rootnotes (rootnotes.org.uk) is holding a family music workshop at Appledore Baptist Church, as part of the 2026 Appledore Music Festival. It will take place at 2pm on Saturday 30 May.
