Christmas Ceilidh with the Appledore Ceilidh Band
The Appledore Music Festival presents a Christmas Ceilidh with the Appledore Festival Ceilidh Band. The event will be at St Mary’s Church Hall on Saturday 21 December 2025. Any surplus funds will be ploughed into the 2026 festival, which runs from 28 May to 1 June.
The Appledore Ceilidh Band formed specially for the 2024 Appledore Music Festival. They were the highlight of the festival, with an unforgettable shindig at St Mary’s Church Hall. Since then they have gone from strength to strength. Tickets are priced at £10 in advance or £12:50 on the door. Hurry, they’re selling fast. Click here to purchase.
The band will lead you step-by-step through a fun and frenetic evening of family-friendly dancing and frivolity. The caller, Sophie Randles-Dunkley, is a popular local musician who has organised many a ceilidh. A talented celtic band will be providing the jigs and reels with a few festive surprises. All are welcome.
No experience or innate dancing ability is required. The evening is guaranteed to be a hoot. For the ceilidh virgins amongst us, a ceilidh involves the caller explaining a sequence of dance moves to a group of people who then dance along to the live music. Wonderful stuff!
Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30 start. There will be a well-stocked bar on the night.
