Becki Driscoll’s RootNotes is putting on a family concert in the Baptist Church as part of the Appledore Music festival. The concert starts at 3:30pm in the Baptist Church. RootNotes (rootnotes.org.uk) is a Bideford-based community music organisation, run by local musician Becki Driscoll.

Earlier in the day, Rootnotes is holding a family music workshop. The family concert will feature music learnt during thwe workshop as well as music from music from the RootNotes Young Folk group.

The concert is free and no tickets are required. The earlier workshop is also free however tickets must be reserved beforehand.

RootNotes offers music workshops for all ages and all abilities in a variety of different settings. Whether you are a confident player or just starting out on your musical journey RootNotes offers opportunities to join in and and take part.​The RootNotes weekly music groups encourage people to have fun whilst learning music and song, with an emphasis on ‘hands-on’ learning. We can provide instruments for sessions, or help you to develop skills on your own instrument within the group. RootNotes music workshops are suitable for schools, preschools, SEN settings, care homes and community events. Workshops can be tailored to suit a theme or a specific group of people.
